Rachael is a talented linguist, and a native English speaker, who grew up in the picturesque Lake District before moving to Switzerland for 10 years to study, live and work in the French-speaking cantons. Six months in Africa were followed by several years working as a quadrilingual secretary for an Italian company, which led to a further 14 years in China. Fully qualified after passing the professional, post-graduate IoLet Level 7 Diploma in Translation in 2018, Rachael is uniquely positioned to be able to offer high quality translations, backed with a deep cultural understanding of Europe, Africa and Asia. Specialising in French to English general and legal translations, with a passion and qualification for literature, her other specialities include travel and tourism, food and beverages and humanitarian texts. Rachael has worked for agencies on four continents and is a volunteer with Translators Without Borders and Ted Talks.
